Project goals and objectives:
The tourists are more and more looking to diversify their traditional holiday through visiting cultural attractions, indulging with recreational activities and relaxation - all included in one package. In the last decade travelling to "exotic" destinations such as Eastern and Southern Europe became increasingly popular. Given the potential of the tourist destination Eforie-Negrea-Balchik, the aim of the project partners is to create a joint strategic framework for sustainable economic development for the Black Sea Basin through the creation and promotion of joint tourism products and better service quality.
Target groups and Beneficiaries
The project target groups include representatives of the tourism business, advertising companies, public authorities and institutions as well as at least 5 000 tourists. Beneficiaries are tour operators from Eforie, Negrea and Balchik as well as from the regional authorities of the three municipalities.
Project Partners:
Lead Partner: Municipality of Eforie city, Romania.
Partner 2: Municipality of Negrea, Republic of Moldova.
Partner 3: “European Institute for Cultural Tourism “EUREKA”, Bulgaria
The total duration of the project is 20 months. The Project is funded by the European Neighborhood & Partnership Instrument (ENPI) of the EU with the total value of 723.721,00 Euro.
Projects results:
- Established tourism information point;
- Elaborated tourist information terminal - http://eurekainstitute.eu/tourist/index.php/en/
- Elaborated Best practice Manual for tourism activity;
- conducted 6 informative meetings with representatives from the tourism business;
- Created Strategy for development of tourism in Black Sea region;
- Created common tourist route Balchik-Eforie-Negrea - see a presentation;
- 3 exchange of experience unfolded in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldavia;
- Organized Tourism Fair;
